mud, mud, glorious mud

Mud midis and music.Oh what fun was had in Byron this week at Splendour in the Grass!

Highlights included getting down to Chet Faker, then wandering into a tent on a whim and falling in love with Flume followed by a big ol' party hosted by Alison Wonderland. All in the early afternoon - our poor dancing feet struggled to carry us into the night.

A torrential downpour during Alison Wonderland's set ensured that it would be a muddy battle to get from A to B for the rest of the festival. All part of the fun!

The Saturday Ultimate Trifector - Tame Impala, Miike Snow and Bloc Party. On the one night. In a row. Could there be anything better? The answer is no.

A bit of Byron downtime after the festival was a great decision. What a wonderful part of the world.

Lesson learnt: Smooth mud equals deep mud.

just looking out on the day of another dream

Emerging out of my Falls daze. Nearly.  I finally got to see the beautiful Fleet Foxes.  Not much could be better than sitting back on the grass hill to the side of the stage, taking in their perfect harmony and a setting sun. Perfection!
